This is a spread from the 66th issue of Utsukushii Kurashi no Techo. The editor-in-chief of this magazine, Yasuji Hanamori, did the majority of production on his own, including photography, illustration, layout design, and writing. He started this magazine with Shizuko Oohashi, who had aspired to produce magazines for women. This particular spread shows how to create a necklace with glass beads.
The development of offset lithography allowed for magazines like this piece to include color illustrations, photographs, and text to be easily printed for the public.
