This was created by Caribbean Graphic Designer Micheal Thompson. Born 1958 and passed away in 2016, Michael used his art on social media to create awareness globally and spark conversations about social and political issues. He uses poster art to protest issues that he feels passionate about like war, global poverty, racism, peace, justice, “One Love,” and the environment, and celebrating his historical roots and cultural Jamaican heritage. He was influenced by Cuban art after he went to a festival and thought it would be a good idea to design posters because they are the best way to portray a message. He enjoyed the imagery, colors, political pieces, and the influence of dance and music.
