A Visit to the Seaside (1908)

3

The first film to be successfully shot in color using Kinemacolor. This 8 minute British short film documents a day at the waterfront in Brighton. Created by George Albert Smith, this film shows the everyday activities one would go about in visiting the beach and on a leisure day. This is a significant addition to motion graphics as Kinemacolor would later go on to be replaced by the well-known system Technicolor from 1916-1952.
