Guity Novin (Navran) was born in 1944 in Kermansah, Iran. In early 1953, the Navran family moved to Tehran. Novin graduated from the Girl's College of Fine Arts with honors in 1965 and was admitted to the Institute of Decorative Arts where she received her BA in graphic design in 1970. After graduating she was employed as a graphic designer in the Department of Graphic Arts at the Ministry of Culture and Arts (MCA) in Tehran. She also began to design for the cover of magazines such as Negin, Zaman, and various literally periodicals such as Chaapar, and Daricheh. Novin has illustrated publications for the Free Cinema of Iran and was also the graphic designer for the First Tehran International Film Festival. In addition, Novin participated in numerous group exhibitions including the Women artists exhibition during Asian Games of 1974. She moved to The Hague, Holland in 1975 and in 1976 she relocated in Manchester, England where she continued her studies and exhibited her work. Novin moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1996. She calls her painting style as Transpressionism, and views it as a new initiative in art. She has served on UNESCO’s national committee of artists.
گیتی نوین (ناوران) در سال ۱۳۲۳ در کرمانشاه متولد شد. در اوایل سال ۱۳۳۲ خانواده ناوران به تهران نقل مکان کردند. نوین در سال ۱۳۴۳ از دانشکده هنرهای زیبای دختران فارغ التحصیل و در دانشکده ی هنرهای تزئینی پذیرفته شد و در سال ۱۳۴۹ مدرک کارشناسی خود را در رشته طراحی گرافیک دریافت کرد. بعد از ان در وزارت فرهنگ و هنر تهران به عنوان طراح گرافیک استخدام شد. او همچنین شروع به طراحی روی جلد مجلاتی مانند نگین و زمان و نشریات مختلف مانند چاپار و دریچه کرد. نوین تصویرگری نشریات سینمای آزاد ایران و همچنین طراح گرافیک اولین جشنواره بین المللی فیلم تهران را بر عهده داشته است. علاوه بر این، نوین در نمایشگاه های گروهی متعددی از جمله نمایشگاه زنان هنرمند در بازی های آسیایی ۱۳۵۳ شرکت کرد. او در سال ۱۳۵۴ به لاهه هلند نقل مکان کرد و در سال ۱۳۵۵ به منچستر انگلستان رفت و در آنجا تحصیلات خود را ادامه داد و آثار خود را به نمایش گذاشت. نوین در سال ۱۳۷۵ به ونکوور کانادا نقل مکان کرد. او سبک نقاشی خود را ترنزپرسیونیسم می نامد و آن را ابتکاری جدید در هنر می داند. او در کمیته ملی هنرمندان یونسکو خدمت کرده است.
