Jerry Murad's Harmonicats "Love Theme From "El Cid" And Other Motion Picture Songs And Themes" Album Cover

8

This Colombia Records vinyl  was  released in 1962, and features type as the prominent component of the album design. It's bright color palette emulates the world of sound it contains. The condensed type allowed for more content, showing each of the tracks featured within the album. Themes from motion pictures are re-imagined, and represented in a fun composition on a white background. Type is centered, and justified both left and right here, creating a dynamic movement. Even the stereo logo was altered to fit within it's visual language.

On the back of the album, more information can be discovered about the artist, the recording process, and other selections from the artist's discography. Black and white images are a strong contrast to the flipside, featuring the artists playing their harmonicas - giving a visual preview to the sound on the inside.  The type here is thin, with each song title in bold within the paragraphs, making them easy to locate. The title is restated to fit the informational narrative of the back.
