Doctor Head's World Tower (ヘッド博士の世界塔)

This is the 3rd album by the Japanese experimental pop-rock duo “Flipper's Guitar” released in 1991. The album was the first Japanese rock album to incorporate sampling, and now, 30 years later, it has gained worldwide acclaim as an innovative and experimental album, along with the subsequent success of two of its members: Keigo Oyamada (小山田圭吾) (aka his stage name “Cornelious”) and Kenji Ozawa (小沢健二). The work is also noted for its unique art direction. The album art was designed by Art and Film director Mitsuo Shindo (信藤三雄) (1948-2023).

His distinctive collages, photographs, and illustrations were used on many musicians' albums and became the symbol of Shibuya-kei, the Japanese music movement of the 1990s.
